“Walk For Hope” is a 3 mile non-competitive fitness and leisure walk intended to bring awareness to suicide prevention in Portage County. This year’s walk is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, in conjunction with Suicide Prevention Week.
 
“Walk for Hope” will begin at Saint Michael’s Hospital with registration running from 9:00-9:30AM and the walk beginning at 9:45AM. The walk route will take participants through the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Campus toward historic downtown Stevens Point where they can stroll by local shops and classic homes. Participants will exit historic downtown to enter Piffner Park to enjoy the natural beauty of Stevens Point. The walk will then route participants back to Saint Michael’s Hospital to enjoy food and beverage.
 
All participants who pre-register before August 27th will receive a T-shirt and Goody Bag. Registrations will be accepted the day of the event, however, participants will not be guaranteed a T-shirt.
